Celebrating Grace
We got to celebrate God’s grace as a church last weekend with eight baptisms on Saturday and then welcomed eleven new members into the Sovereign Grace Church family! Thank you all for praying for us. We were able to find a portable pool so that we can hold baptism services almost anywhere, and the Lord gave us such a beautiful day!
Among those baptized were four children, and a man who works for us on our compound, named Ben. Ben comes from a catholic background. We’ve had a few conversations with him about the gospel over the last year and a half, and he visited our church soon after it launched. But he didn’t return until his cousin moved in with him a couple months ago, and then they both started attending regularly, eventually attending membership and baptism classes. On Saturday, they publicly declared their faith in Christ through baptism, and became members of the church on Sunday!
Please continue to pray with us for each of those who were baptized and joined our church family. The message last Sunday was about a life captivated by Christ. That’s the kind of people we desire to be – a people captivated by our glorious Savior! And with him as our Great Treasure, that we would be transformed more and more like him in our love for others.
